Writing is a
deep form of listening. You take a pen in hand and write the words that
come to you. Writing offers an opportunity to explore what life has to

The priorities of the following writing courses are for participants to find their own unique writing voice and to form a connection with the writer self. Emphasis is placed on support, acceptance and exploration. All classes are small in number, ensuring time for everyone to share.

Into Words - Part One.
This course is for people who want to write. For those who may have written very little or even a great deal at times, but haven't felt able to make the necessary commitment to keep going. During the course participants get to try out ideas and exercises that inspire writing in new ways, and develop a relationship and a commitment to their writer selves. They explore what writing means to them and what it reveals about themselves. Within the support of the group, participants look at what gets in the way and develop strategies that create writing habits that fit into their lives.
The group meets for two hours, one evening a week for six weeks, and participants are also given exercises to explore at home.
Into Words - Part Two.
This course follows on from the one above and is for those who want to root their commitment to writing. After establishing a connection with the writer self this course develops the relationship further. Using the relationship with the writer self as a base, participants can unearth what it is they want to write. Here also is the opportunity to develop writing routines established in Part One. As well as plenty more new exercises to try out.
Again, the group meets for two hours, one evening a week for six weeks, and participants are also given exercises to explore at home.
Both courses can be taken independently.
Writing Your Life.
It is easy to dismiss the idea of writing about your own life as self-indulgent or mundane. Not many of us are encouraged to honour our own experience and this can lead us away from its rich and rewarding possiblities. During this course participants will experiment with various exercises that approach life writing in different ways. In the act of sharing within the support of a group, participants learn to value their experience and the writing possibilities it has to offer.
The group meet for two hours, one evening a week for four weeks and participants are also given exercises to explore at home.
Into Words - Saturday Writing Workshop

inspire writing in new and exciting ways. We will look at what writing
means to us and how to incorporate it into our daily lives. This
workshop is for both those who write and for those who have always
wanted to write.
